How did a Mermaid find her way to the Arizona desert?

Every Mermaid hopes to find her Sailor right?  Well,  I found my Salty sailor and re-located to the Arizona Desert, and  you can't keep a Mermaid away from her pearls for long so I brought them with me!  As a young girl in Southern California my grandmother would take me every year to pick out an oyster for my birthday pearl, (my birthstone) so from a very young age I've been obsessed with pearls! Just as my mother and my Granny before her,  I have passed this love of pearls onto my daughters, my mermaids and they adore them as much as I do!  It is my hope that i can re-create the joy that we have always found when opening an oyster!    The excitement, The wonderment, The surprise, The anticipation, The joy! of finding a pearl!
